Ingredients
Scale
For the Honey Garlic Sauce:
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
For the Shrimp:
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons green onions, sliced
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Honey Garlic Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- Cook the Shrimp: Heat olive oil and sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and slightly golden.
- Add the Sauce: Pour the honey garlic sauce into the skillet and stir to coat the shrimp. Cook for another 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and the shrimp are fully cooked.
- Finish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately over rice, noodles, or steamed vegetables.
Notes
- For best results, pat the shrimp dry before cooking.
- You can marinate the shrimp in the sauce for 15–30 minutes for extra flavor, but it’s not necessary for a quick version.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated and enjoyed cold or reheated gently.
