- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, melted

- 1½ cups peeled and finely chopped apples (about 2 small apples)
- Vegetable oil for frying
- For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- Wet Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk the egg, milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Add Apples: Fold in the chopped apples.
- Fry: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.
- Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze. Dip the fritter bites in the glaze or drizzle over the top.
- Serve warm.
