Description

A refreshing and vibrant cocktail combining the tartness of blackberries and lemon with the botanical notes of gin and citron vodka, topped with tonic water and fresh mint for a perfect summer drink.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruits & Herbs

  • 4-6 blackberries
  • 2 minced mint leaves
  • 1 tsp fresh squeezed lemon juice

Liquids & Sweeteners

  • 1 tsp simple syrup
  • 1 oz gin
  • 1 oz citron vodka
  • Tonic water (to top)

Other

  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Muddle Blackberries and Mint: In a glass, gently muddle the blackberries and minced mint leaves together to release their flavors and aromas.
  2. Add Lemon Juice and Simple Syrup: Pour in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and simple syrup into the muddled mixture and stir to combine.
  3. Pour Spirits: Add the gin and citron vodka into the glass with the fruit and herb mixture.
  4. Add Ice: Fill the glass with ice cubes to chill the drink properly.
  5. Top with Tonic Water: Slowly top up the glass with tonic water, giving it a gentle stir to mix without losing carbonation.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Optionally garnish with a fresh blackberry or mint sprig, then serve immediately for a refreshing cocktail.

Notes

  • For a less sweet version, reduce or omit the simple syrup.
  • Use fresh blackberries for the best flavor; frozen can work but might be less vibrant.
  • If citron vodka is not available, substitute with another citrus-flavored vodka or omit.
  • Adjust the amount of tonic water based on glass size and personal preference.
  • To make a larger batch, multiply ingredients accordingly and mix in a pitcher.
