Description

A quick and delicious BLT Naan Flatbread recipe combining crispy bacon, fresh arugula, juicy cherry tomatoes, and melted mozzarella on soft naan bread. Finished with a tangy lemon mayo dressing, this flatbread makes a perfect easy lunch or light dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Flatbread and Toppings

  • 2 pieces of naan bread
  • 6 slices of cooked bacon
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 2 cups fresh arugula
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Dressing

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the naan flatbreads.
  2. Prepare the Naan: Place the naan bread pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup and even baking.
  3. Add Cheese: Sprinkle an even layer of shredded mozzarella cheese over each naan, ensuring good coverage for melting.
  4. Layer the Bacon: Arrange the cooked bacon slices evenly across the naan flatbreads.
  5. Add Tomatoes: Distribute the halved cherry tomatoes evenly on top of the bacon layers.
  6. Bake the Flatbreads: Bake the naan in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the edges of the naan turn lightly crispy.
  7. Make the Dressing: While the naan is baking, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until smooth.
  8. Cool Slightly: Remove the naan from the oven and let them cool slightly to avoid wilting the arugula.
  9. Add Arugula: Top each baked naan with a generous layer of fresh arugula for peppery freshness.
  10. Drizzle Dressing: Drizzle the prepared lemon mayo dressing evenly over the arugula on each flatbread.
  11. Serve: Slice the flatbreads into portions and serve immediately for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • Use cooked bacon to save time, but you can cook raw bacon beforehand if preferred.
  • For a vegetarian version, substitute bacon with smoked mushrooms or omit the bacon altogether.
  • Feel free to swap mozzarella for another cheese like cheddar or provolone.
  • Use gluten-free naan to make the recipe gluten-free.
  • Adjust seasoning in the dressing to your taste for more or less tanginess.
