Ingredients
Scale
Flatbread and Toppings
- 2 pieces of naan bread
- 6 slices of cooked bacon
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2 cups fresh arugula
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Dressing
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the naan flatbreads.
- Prepare the Naan: Place the naan bread pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for easy cleanup and even baking.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle an even layer of shredded mozzarella cheese over each naan, ensuring good coverage for melting.
- Layer the Bacon: Arrange the cooked bacon slices evenly across the naan flatbreads.
- Add Tomatoes: Distribute the halved cherry tomatoes evenly on top of the bacon layers.
- Bake the Flatbreads: Bake the naan in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and the edges of the naan turn lightly crispy.
- Make the Dressing: While the naan is baking, whisk together mayonnaise, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until smooth.
- Cool Slightly: Remove the naan from the oven and let them cool slightly to avoid wilting the arugula.
- Add Arugula: Top each baked naan with a generous layer of fresh arugula for peppery freshness.
- Drizzle Dressing: Drizzle the prepared lemon mayo dressing evenly over the arugula on each flatbread.
- Serve: Slice the flatbreads into portions and serve immediately for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- Use cooked bacon to save time, but you can cook raw bacon beforehand if preferred.
- For a vegetarian version, substitute bacon with smoked mushrooms or omit the bacon altogether.
- Feel free to swap mozzarella for another cheese like cheddar or provolone.
- Use gluten-free naan to make the recipe gluten-free.
- Adjust seasoning in the dressing to your taste for more or less tanginess.
