Scale
Meat Mixture
- 1 lb ground beef (or chicken)
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp ketchup
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish to prevent sticking and ensure even cooking.
- Prepare Meat Mixture: In a large bowl, thoroughly mix ground meat, breadcrumbs, shredded mozzarella cheese, chopped parsley, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and ketchup until all ingredients are well combined.
- Form Meatloaf Bites: Shape the mixture into balls approximately two tablespoons each. Press your thumb into each ball to create a small indent for the cheese filling.
- Stuff with Cheese: Place a teaspoon of mozzarella cheese into each indent, then carefully reshape the ball around the cheese to seal it inside.
- Bake: Arrange the stuffed meatloaf bites in the prepared baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
Notes
- You can substitute ground chicken for a leaner option.
- Use your favorite cheese for stuffing, such as cheddar or pepper jack, for a different flavor profile.
- Ensure to seal the cheese inside the meat well to prevent it from leaking during baking.
- Serve with ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce on the side.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven for best texture.
