Description

Refreshing and naturally sweetened Cherry Lime Ice Pops made with fresh or frozen cherries, zesty lime juice, and a touch of honey or maple syrup. These homemade frozen treats are perfect for a healthy summer dessert or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Ice Pop Mixture

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 4 limes)
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon lime zest

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine the cherries, lime juice, honey or maple syrup, water, and lime zest. Blend until smooth to create a vibrant, fruity mixture.
  2. Adjust Sweetness: Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more honey or maple syrup to your preference.
  3. Pour into Molds: Evenly pour the blended mixture into ice pop molds, leaving a little space at the top to allow for expansion during freezing.
  4. Insert Sticks and Freeze: Insert sticks into the molds and freeze for at least 4 to 6 hours, or until completely solid.
  5. Release Pops: To remove the ice pops, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds, then gently pull out the ice pops for serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute the honey with agave syrup or a sugar-free sweetener to make it vegan or lower in sugar.
  • If you prefer a smoother texture, strain the blended mixture before pouring into molds to remove pulp and solids.
