Ingredients
Scale
Chocolate and Bark
- 1 (16-ounce) package white almond bark, chopped
- 1 (12-ounce) package white chocolate chips
- 1 (12-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
Peanuts and Mix-ins
- 1 (16-ounce) jar dry roasted peanuts
- 1 (10-ounce) jar cocktail peanuts
- 1½ cups pastel-colored M&M’s, plus extra for topping
- 1/2 cup pastel sprinkles (optional)
Serving
- Mini cupcake liners
Instructions
- Combine chocolates and bark: Add the chopped white almond bark, white chocolate chips, and semi-sweet chocolate chips into the slow cooker ensuring they are evenly spread for melting.
- Add peanuts: Top the chocolate mixture with both types of peanuts — dry roasted and cocktail peanuts — to incorporate different textures and flavors.
- Slow cook and stir: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 1½ to 2 hours. Stir the mixture every 30 minutes until fully melted and smooth, ensuring chocolates do not burn.
- Cool slightly and fold in M&M’s: Turn off the slow cooker and let the mixture cool for 5–10 minutes. Then gently fold in 1½ cups of pastel M&M’s, reserving a handful for topping.
- Form clusters: Spoon heaping tablespoons of the mixture into mini cupcake liners arranged on a baking sheet or counter so they set easily.
- Top with decorations: Immediately top each cluster with extra M&M’s and pastel sprinkles if desired for a festive look.
- Allow to set: Let clusters set at room temperature for 1–2 hours or refrigerate for quicker setting.
- Storage: Store the clusters in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks to keep freshness.
Notes
- Substitute peanuts with cashews or pecans for a different nutty flavor.
- Use candy melts instead of white chocolate chips for alternative tastes and colors.
- These clusters make excellent holiday gifts or festive additions to dessert trays.
- Be sure to stir frequently while slow cooking to prevent scorching.
