Description

Crockpot White Chocolate Haystacks are a simple and delicious no-bake treat combining melted white chocolate, crunchy chow mein noodles, and peanuts. Cooked slowly in a crockpot for smooth melting and easy mixing, these sweet and crunchy haystacks are finished with festive sprinkles for a fun and delightful dessert perfect for parties or snack time.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces white melting chocolate (340 grams) or almond bark
  • 2 cups chow mein noodles (90 grams)
  • 1 cup peanuts (142 grams)
  • 2 tablespoons sprinkles (24 grams, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crockpot: Spray the inside of the crockpot with nonstick spray to prevent the mixture from sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Add ingredients: Place the white melting chocolate, chow mein noodles, and peanuts into the crockpot, ensuring even distribution of all components.
  3. Cook the mixture: Set the crockpot on HIGH and cook for 1 hour, stirring occasionally if possible, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
  4. Mix thoroughly: Stir the contents well so that the noodles and peanuts are fully coated with the melted white chocolate.
  5. Form haystacks: Using a spoon, drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, shaping them into small clusters.
  6. Add sprinkles: Immediately sprinkle the top of each haystack with the 2 tablespoons of sprinkles before the chocolate hardens to add color and texture.
  7. Chill and serve: Place the tray in the refrigerator to allow the haystacks to fully set and harden, then enjoy!

Notes

  • Using white melting chocolate or almond bark ensures smooth melting and easier mixing.
  • Chow mein noodles add a crispy texture but can be substituted with crispy rice cereal if unavailable.
  • Peanuts can be replaced with other nuts or seeds based on preference or allergies.
  • Be sure to add sprinkles before the chocolate sets for best adherence.
  • Store haystacks in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
