Ingredients
Scale
Chocolate Mixture
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- Pinch of salt
Add-ins
- 1 cup miniature marshmallows
- 1 cup broken graham crackers (about 4 sheets)
- 1/2 cup finely chopped almonds (optional)
Optional Toppings
- Sea salt flakes
- Extra mini marshmallows
- Crushed graham crackers
Instructions
- Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to ensure the clusters don’t stick once set.
- Melt Chocolate: In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine semi-sweet chocolate chips and vegetable oil. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is melted smoothly.
- Combine Ingredients: Let the melted chocolate cool slightly then add miniature marshmallows, broken graham crackers, and chopped almonds if using. Stir gently until all pieces are evenly coated with chocolate.
- Form Clusters: Using a spoon or small scoop, drop spoonfuls of the chocolate mixture onto the prepared baking sheet spaced apart to avoid sticking.
- Add Toppings: Sprinkle the clusters’ tops with optional sea salt flakes, extra mini marshmallows, or crushed graham crackers to enhance flavor and texture.
- Chill: Place the baking sheet into the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or until the clusters are fully set and firm.
- Store: Once set, remove clusters from the baking sheet and transfer to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Notes
- For a nut-free version, omit the chopped almonds.
- You can substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips with dark or milk chocolate depending on your preference.
- Ensure the chocolate cools slightly before mixing in the marshmallows to prevent melting them completely.
- Clusters can also be stored at room temperature for up to 2 days but keep in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
- Feel free to add other mix-ins such as dried fruit or pretzel pieces for extra flavor.
