Eggo® Waffles:
- 2 Eggo® waffles
Cooked Sausage Patty:
- 1 cooked sausage patty
Large Egg:
- 1 large egg
Slice of Cheddar Cheese:
- 1 slice of cheddar cheese
Butter or Oil:
- 1 tablespoon butter or oil for cooking
Instructions
- Toast the Eggo® Waffles: Toast the waffles until golden and crisp.
In a small skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage patty until heated through and browned on both sides. In the same skillet, cook the egg to your desired doneness, either fried or scrambled. Place the slice of cheddar cheese on top of the hot egg to melt slightly. To assemble the sandwich, layer the sausage, egg, and melted cheese between the two toasted waffles. Serve immediately while hot.
Notes
- For added flavor, try using a flavored Eggo® waffle like buttermilk or cinnamon.
- You can also substitute the sausage with bacon or a plant-based patty for a vegetarian version.
