Ingredients
Scale
Fries
- 2 lb bag of Walmart-brand seasoned fries (or any seasoned fries)
Meat and Seasoning
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- ½ cup water (for seasoning mix)
Cheese
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)
Instructions
- Bake the Fries: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the seasoned fries evenly on a baking sheet and bake according to the package instructions until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Cook the Meat: While the fries are baking, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and ½ cup water. Let it simmer for 5 minutes until the seasoning is well combined and the mixture thickens slightly.
- Assemble: Spread the cooked fries in a baking dish in an even layer. Top the fries evenly with the seasoned ground beef, then sprinkle the shredded cheese generously over the top.
- Bake Again: Place the assembled dish back in the oven and bake for another 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
- Serve Hot: Remove from the oven and add any desired toppings such as sour cream, jalapeños, or chopped cilantro. Serve immediately and enjoy your loaded nacho fries bake.
Notes
- Use any seasoned fries you prefer if Walmart-brand is unavailable.
- Customize cheese blends to your taste for different flavors.
- Adding toppings like sour cream, jalapeños, chopped cilantro, or diced tomatoes enhances flavor and texture.
- For extra crispiness, place the fries on a wire rack over the baking sheet during baking.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in the oven for best texture.
