Description

Loaded Nacho Fries Bake combines crispy seasoned fries with flavorful taco-seasoned ground beef and a melty cheese topping. This easy-to-make oven-baked dish is perfect for a satisfying snack or casual meal, loaded with bold Tex-Mex flavors and gooey cheese goodness.

Ingredients

Scale

Fries

  • 2 lb bag of Walmart-brand seasoned fries (or any seasoned fries)

Meat and Seasoning

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • ½ cup water (for seasoning mix)

Cheese

  • 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)

Instructions

  1. Bake the Fries: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the seasoned fries evenly on a baking sheet and bake according to the package instructions until they are golden brown and crispy.
  2. Cook the Meat: While the fries are baking, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and ½ cup water. Let it simmer for 5 minutes until the seasoning is well combined and the mixture thickens slightly.
  3. Assemble: Spread the cooked fries in a baking dish in an even layer. Top the fries evenly with the seasoned ground beef, then sprinkle the shredded cheese generously over the top.
  4. Bake Again: Place the assembled dish back in the oven and bake for another 5 to 7 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
  5. Serve Hot: Remove from the oven and add any desired toppings such as sour cream, jalapeños, or chopped cilantro. Serve immediately and enjoy your loaded nacho fries bake.

Notes

  • Use any seasoned fries you prefer if Walmart-brand is unavailable.
  • Customize cheese blends to your taste for different flavors.
  • Adding toppings like sour cream, jalapeños, chopped cilantro, or diced tomatoes enhances flavor and texture.
  • For extra crispiness, place the fries on a wire rack over the baking sheet during baking.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated in the oven for best texture.
