Description

Peanut Butter Lasagna is a no-bake layered dessert featuring a crunchy cookie crust, creamy peanut butter and cream cheese filling, and chocolate pudding layers topped with whipped topping. It combines rich, smooth textures with sweet peanut butter and chocolate flavors, perfect for an indulgent treat that requires no oven time.

Ingredients

Scale

Crust

  • 1 16 oz package Nutter Butter sandwich cookies
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)

Peanut Butter Layer

  • 1 8 oz package cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp milk

Chocolate Pudding Layer

  • 2 3.9 oz packages instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 3 cups milk

Topping

  • 1 8 oz tub whipped topping (thawed if frozen)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust: Crush the Nutter Butter cookies finely, either by placing them in a plastic bag and crushing with a rolling pin or by using a food processor. Mix the crushed cookies with the melted butter until well combined. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish to form an even crust.
  2. Make the peanut butter layer: In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth and creamy. Spread this peanut butter mixture evenly over the cookie crust layer.
  3. Prepare the pudding layer: In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mixes with 3 cups of milk until the pudding thickens, about 2 minutes. Spread the chocolate pudding layer evenly over the peanut butter layer.
  4. Add the topping: Finally, spread the whipped topping gently and evenly over the chocolate pudding layer to complete the dessert. Chill the lasagna in the refrigerator for at least several hours or overnight to allow it to set well before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

  • This dessert is best chilled overnight for easy slicing and better flavor melding.
  • If desired, garnish with additional crushed Nutter Butter cookies or chopped peanuts on top before serving for added texture.
  • Use creamy peanut butter for smooth texture; natural peanut butter can result in a grainier filling.
  • For a lower sugar variation, consider reducing powdered sugar slightly or using a sugar substitute compatible with baking.
