Ingredients
Scale
Brownie Base
- 18 ounce box brownie mix
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup salted butter (melted)
- ¼ cup milk
Fillings and Toppings
- 2 cups Snickers, chopped
- â…“ cup caramel bits (plus more for topping, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a 9×9 inch baking dish with parchment paper or spray well with baking spray to prevent sticking.
- Mix Batter: In a large mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs, melted butter, and milk. Stir until the batter is smooth, thick, and well combined ensuring an even texture.
- Layer Batter: Pour a little more than half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread it out evenly to form the first layer.
- Add Snickers: Sprinkle the chopped Snickers evenly over the batter layer to distribute the candy pieces throughout the brownies.
- Top with Remaining Batter: Scoop the remaining brownie batter over the Snickers layer, gently spreading it to cover the candy pieces.
- Sprinkle Caramel Bits: Even out the top surface carefully and sprinkle the caramel bits on top for added sweetness and texture.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 40-43 minutes. The brownies should be cooked through; a toothpick inserted will come out gooey but without raw batter.
- Cool: Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes to set before cutting into squares.
- Optional Caramel Drizzle: If desired, melt an additional ½ cup of caramel bits and drizzle over the cooled brownies for an extra caramel touch.
Notes
- Use a toothpick to test doneness; it should come out with gooey crumbs but no raw batter.
- Chilling the brownies after baking can make cutting easier and improve texture.
- For best results, use salted butter to balance the sweetness.
- Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
- Optional caramel drizzle enhances the presentation and caramel flavor.
