Description

Enjoy a delicious Vegan Pan Pizza with Green Olives and Mushrooms that’s easy to make at home. This dairy-free pizza is loaded with flavorful toppings and baked to perfection in a cast iron skillet.

Ingredients

Scale

Vegan Pizza Dough:

  • 1 ball vegan pizza dough (store-bought or homemade, about 12 oz)

Toppings:

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded vegan mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced green olives
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Prepare Skillet: Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a 10-inch cast iron skillet or oven-safe pan, coating the bottom and sides well.
  3. Place Dough: Press the pizza dough into the pan, letting it rest for 10–15 minutes to rise slightly.
  4. Add Toppings: Drizzle the remaining olive oil over the dough. Spread pizza sauce, vegan mozzarella, green olives, and mushrooms evenly on top. Season with oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  5. Bake: Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Cool slightly, garnish with basil if desired, slice, and serve hot.

Notes

  • You can sauté the mushrooms beforehand for extra flavor and reduced moisture.
  • Use a gluten-free dough if needed.
  • This recipe is versatile and can be customized with other toppings like red onions, bell peppers, or artichokes.
